The Federal Holding and Investment Company (in French, “Société Fédérale de Participations et d’Investissement”, in Dutch “Federale Participatie- en Investeringsmaatschappij” with registered office at 1050 Brussels (Belgium), avenue Louise-Louizalaan 32, box 4, and registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 253.445.063 ("SFPI-FPIM"), is the controller as regards this privacy statement.

The protection of your personal data is very important to the SFPI-FPIM which processes carefully the personal data communicated to it through this website or any other means of communication. This privacy statement ("Statement") explains how SFPI-FPIM handles Personal Data (as defined below), as well as the reasons for this processing, the period of their retention and the rights of each data subject.

This website contains links to other websites, not owned or operated by SFPI-FPIM. Please be aware that SFPI-FPIM is not responsible for the privacy policies of these websites and that this Statement does not apply to them.

Personal Data we process

For purposes of this Statement, "Personal Data" means any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.). The processing of personal data includes every possible operation which is performed with Personal Data, such as, inter alia, collection, consultation, storage, use, modification of Personal Data.

The SFPI-FPIM collects certain Personal Data in the course of its business. The SFPI-FPIM only collects Personal Data that are voluntarily submitted to it. In addition, the SFPI-FPIM limits the processing of Personal Data to the minimum information required to realize the purpose for which Personal Data are submitted to it.

Purposes of processing

The SFPI-FPIM processes Personal Data solely to achieve the specific purposes for which Personal Data are submitted to it, ensure compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations, and serve its legitimate interests, including defend its interests in legal proceedings.

Retention period

The SFPI-FPIM keeps Personal Data no longer as strictly necessary, to the extent legally permitted or required, and for the above-mentioned specific purposes for processing.

Transfer of personal data

The SFPI-FPIM transfers Personal Data to third-parties only to the extent necessary in order to achieve the purposes indicated above, to the extent strictly permitted by law, and only to service providers (informatics services, lawyers, etc.), financial institutions, or public or judicial authorities.

Processed Personal Data are not used for commercial purposes. The SFPI-FPIM does not sell Personal Data.

In the event of transfer of Personal Data to a country outside of the European Economic Area, the SFPI-FPIM ensures to obtain an equivalent level of protection as within Europe.

The rights of data subjects

Provided that the conditions laid out in the legislation and regulation regarding the processing of personal data, are met, and to the extent the legislation allows it, persons whose Personal Data are processed door the SFPI-FPIM are entitled to:

  • access the Personal Data concerning them and ask a copy thereof;
  • in case Personal Data concerning them are incomplete or inaccurate, request the rectification thereof;
  • object to the processing of Personal Data concerning them;
  • obtain the limitation of the processing of Personal Data concerning them;
  • obtain the erasure of the Personal Data concerning them;
  • ask the withdrawal of the consent for processing Personal Data concerning them;
  • receive Personal Data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and transmit those to another controller.

These rights can be exercised by means of a dated and signed request, accompanied with a copy of the identity card, sent by post to the SFPI-FPIM to the attention of the responsible for protection of the personal data, Mrs. Alexandra Mineo. A request may also be sent by e-mail with digital signature to a.mineo@sfpi-fpim.be.

All persons whose Personal Data are processed by the SFPI-FPIM have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority (https://www.dataprotectionauthority.be/), if they consider the processing is not compliant with the applicable law and regulation.

Cookies

At the moment, the website of the SFPI-FPIM does not make use of any cookies.

This Statement may be updated. We make our best effort to bring substantial updates of this Statement to your attention.
